Okay, I must preface this with the fact that I am VERY new to Linux in general.
I am not new to setting up Farmerjoe, so you guys don’t have to worry about that. What is troubling me is that to run the slave node in Ubuntu studio, I have to run Farmerjoe from the terminal. All good and fine,. except I have no idea how to get to the shared network drive from the terminal. After hours of googling and finding nothing of value, I am giving up and submitting my Q here.
All I need, is to get to the shared drive from the terminal…seems like it’d be easy, except nothing I do works. Help would be GREATLY appreciated, this is driving me nuts…
And it work s on 64 bit (or 32 bit) but not both simultaneously – meaning you can’t have a mixed farm without hacking the code… but it shouldn’t be hard. It’s already been adjusted for exr output. I’ve used it in a mixed environment of Windows, Mac and Linux (Ubuntu 64) machines. It does the job but sometimes doesn’t seem to handle restarting the master very well (I had to restart the clients also).
I have downloaded the 64-bit version, but when I try to run the script in blender 2.48 it always gives me an error. Could this be because I set up my .conf wrong? I think I might have put in the wrong master address, but since I’m running from the master it shouldn’t make a difference right?
