UDIM stack, but repeat textures on a single axis

I have a UDIM stack, as in a column of texture sets placed in 1001,1011, 1021, 1031 etc.

So, a vertical set of UDIMs, but I’d like the textures to repeat on the X axis, instead of dropping out of the texture space once outside the bound of the single UDIM.

Is it possible? And if so, how? And would it convert to Unity?

Thanks!

Yes, with a Math node set to Wrap on the U coordinate before the image.

I built your case to check. Tiled image, 1001 red and 1011 green, plane UVs running u 0 to 3 and v 0 to 2. Wired straight in, everything past u=1 renders the missing-tile magenta, (1, 0, 1) exactly. Separate XYZ, Wrap X between 0 and 1, Combine XYZ, into the texture vector, and the column repeats three times while V still picks the right tile. Red bottom, green top, every column.

Same on five versions, 4.5.12 through 5.2.1. You do get a hard seam at each wrap. I haven’t tested the Unity end.

This is very useful, thank you!
I’m sure that there will be some way to do it in Unity too, maybe via code, no worries.
The important part was to have it working in Blender, many thanks!
