Martin

wow that was fast…thx nyways

If you mean a snapshot of the working area:
in windows: Stamp key, then open Paint, menu edit >paste
if you wand a snapshot of the window use this button
http://westfalia.altervista.org/edge/render.jpg
then save it F3

Please note that this button is black and white in 2.30. Just making sure you don’t look for a colored button for nothing

Actully, I’m not finding the snapshot button in any color in the 3d window. But if you look at the menus available at the top, along the line of the ‘i’ button, and then choose ‘Render’ that’s where you’ll find the Open GL render choice.
Took a while to figure out since I’d collapsed that menu header.

no all i needed was the save image thing, i know how to render

you can save the blender 3d window with control+f3, and the entire blender window with control+alt+f3

the real good use of that button there is when you hold shift and click on it. It renders an animation in the draw style of the 3d window. This is a very easy to check the timing in blender’s frambuffer (anim) player, instead of stressing your video card with alt+a.
