Unable to use Solid or Textured

A while ago, I found out that the solid and textured in edit had stopped working. I have checked Outliner and everthing else.
Any suggestions to re-start them please.

What do you mean by “stopped working”

OK… here tiz…
Start from new.
Add mesh cube.
Ok in wire frame
Click on the “Method to shade & display objects button” on the bottom of the screen.
No changes are sen.
I used to be able to use the “Texture” mode when in UV. Or even “Solid”
It doesn’t work.

Still haven’t the foggiest what you are meaning without some kind of screenshot or example blend file, but everything works for me as expected.

  • Does it not give you the option to selecte textured or shaded
  • Is it that you can select them but the view in the 3d view is not what you expected, if so what does/doesn’t it show
  • Have you selected another view option in the objects display settings
  • What shading mode are you using (multitextures or GLSL)
  • I assume you are using blender 2.55
