Being able to make a product accessible wherever and whenever the customer needs it is the most difficult part of bringing anything to market (even if it’s free). I assure you there is no one who wishes for these kinds of issues to happen. Just use the old version and file a bug report in the right place where you actually make contact with Blender developers until it’s resolved. (Blender Artists is not affiliated to Blender.org)
