Hi! I want to undistort video footage of a 170° fisheye shot. When i use Undistort it automaticly crops the footage.
I know it is because the resulting image is larger than the source image.
Is there any way to get the resulting uncropped image?
I have also tried out to undistort via the Lens Distion node in the compositor. Is there any downside of using this node for undistortion (when video editing only)?
Thanks!
Ah, ok - thank you!
I stumbled upon this thread earlier but thought that it was another issue - infact it is not.
Unfortunately i can’t use the steps you described there because i want to render the undistorted footage and don’t want to lose image data.
I have experimented a bit and my only workaround was to scale the footage by 0.75 and resolved distortion.
When i compared a crop of my scaled footage and the original cropped undistorted footage there were just slight differences. So it should work in my case.
