Unexpected sharp subdiv without crease?

Anyone know what’s going on here?

It is a normals problem, in edit mode select all and mesh-normals-recalculate outside.

Oh! I didn’t realize that had any impact so I didn’t think to look for it. Thanks for pointing it out.

Very weird, because the edges that make up that profile are extruded from another subdivision body which does not have any normals issue!

Yes sometimes when modelling normal issues crop up from extrusions or mirroring, I hardly ever use edge crease so the normals are the first thing I check when things look wrong. Subdivision does take normals into account.
