Unfolding a mesh

Hi all!
Ok this is my first mesh in Blender!
I made a body for Suzzan.

I’d like to know how or if there’s a way to unfold the mesh’s geometry according to it’s UV coordinates and render it, so I can make a Normal map out of it.
Thank’s in advance!

Thatnks for your reply PapaSmurf!
But I don’t want to texture the mesh, I want to unfold it’s geometry according to it’s UV coordinates. I don’t want make new UV, I’ve already done this.

EDIT:
In some applications something like that, is called Render-to-texture

Thanks a ton ititrx! Thats exactly what I was looking for.
I didn’t thought to look for “Baking textures” keyword.
