For those of you that saw the title of this post and thought i was fedup with blender your wrong ( I maybe dumb but I’m not stupid).
I need to do a complete reinstall of blender. I have been having some problems that I guess i brought on my self. But for the past few weeks Blender on my iBook has been useless. I could tell you everything that is happening with it but it would take to long and I fig. if can clean my system of the current Blender and all its prefs., support doc’s and such it would fix all the problems at once.
Now how can you uninstall Blender completely?
iBook
1.2 GhzPowerPC G4
768 Mb ddr ram
OS 10.4.6
Blender 2.37a (thatsbecause i dumped 2.41 thinking that might be the answer)
Ps dont ask why some of this text is bold and underlined. I had to edit after posting because it put some crap all over the screen that looks like this. I don’t know.
This package manager only works on real “Packages (.pkg)” I think. Uninstalling blender is as easy as dragging the blender.app program to the trash, and then clearing the .b.blend file.
You shouldn’t have to uninstall it though.
In terminal, have you tried removing the .B.blend file (in your home directory) and allow blender to re-create a fresh one?
What exactly is the problem? (I know it’s a long list, but re-installing may not fix it). Do you have all the latest Software Updates from Apple?
Well I have not tried trowing the .B.Blend away. But I will give it a go.
The most prevalent problem is opening a .blend file. If I click a . blend file to start the blender app it gives me some error message. I have to open blender and then file> open then find the one i want to open. Another problem is when i want to rotate my view with the mmb it zooms in just by pressing it and moving the mouse. this also done when using the mmb scroll function that is normal.
