How on earth is Linux going to soulve the SCO threat ? Any ideals if SCO will win the case ? If so then what option would Linux take ? Can’t the kernal source be rewritten from scratch ?
SCO will be in a contract dispute over the GPL, even if some of their code is in the kernel source they are violating the GPL by not distributing the source with the version that can be licensed from them.
but it is possible (though I doubt it) that they are upholding the gpl by licensing binaries of conflicting code.
whatever happens SCO will not win, how much they loose, and what else suffers has yet to be seen. as does if sco will be bought or not
Oh, this is with GPL, but for the sake of getting the SCO basterds off there back, can’t they just change the source they use for Linux ? And will GPL counter sue for harrassment or gold digging ?
