UPDATE: Cycles PBR metals, based on complex refractive index

Well, I’ve watched Andrew’s stuff, and whilst it achieves a result, the actual physics is close to missing. The stuff in this thread is, on the other hand, making a virtual computer out of blender nodes by comparison.

Now also interference in clear and absorbing layers on top of dielectrics and metals can be simulated

We need more videos like this to connect the artists a bit more with the underneath logic!
