You add smoke the same way you add fire, just with different color particles. Looks good. Also you might try using colorband on your fire texture.

To make the fire better I would suggest having it more than one color
Also personally I think that for fire it reads much too dark, fire should look flaming hot it seems that this would barely emit any light as it is %|

Better then i can do, i hate those evil particle things.
Increase the ‘Add’ value of particle material.
Put ‘RandLife’ to the max and make IPO curves for RGB (from yellow to orange) and HaSize. The HaSize IPO should be decreasing but uneven, this brings very cool results together with the RandLife. Clear?
you can also keyframe some slight color changes in materials, but if you do it too much, it will look like fireworks.
