UPDATE: Pyrotouch - Character Name? With Demo Video

Hey guys,

Normally I post strictly blender art and related content, but this really is important to me, because it’s been another part of my life on the design side of things.

I’ve basically been working with fellow developers on a new game that just launched called “Pyrotouch”, a for all ages free fireworks game where the purpose is to detonate as many as you can without hitting the wrong targets. I designed the fireworks themselves, and I did use Blender as a visual guide for the particles, but the actual fireworks are created in a whole different program.

Here’s the link and more info on my blog:

PLEASE check it out if you’d like and all feedback is welcome!

Thanks and happy blending!

Now I should mention, so this doesn’t come off as a spam / ad / posting whatnot, I was thinking of doing some additional content and perhaps using blender as a 3D animation tool to create sprite sheets based on the character for the game.

This adorable little guy:

Any ideas for a name?

Handy-robo?

Robby the Blue? :))

dunno, quite hard to find a name for something like that - google for adorable names or something and see if you can come up with an idea…

A674?
BA23?
BlueBot?

im out of others (except codes but then, those don’t do too well).

Pyrotouch Robot is a good name I think.

Ofcourse there is: J.F.Pryotouch, kbotPyrotouchbot,A673,BA22 or BA24, bA23, ba23, Ba23.

It looks like a mouse with arms -> Marm

hah thanks for the feedback guys! Great names!

It looks like a mouse with arms -> Marm
Clever

Handy-robo
nice, almost sounds Japanese

Pyrotouch Robot
Yeah, you could be right kbot, maybe it’s best just to keep the name closest to the brand.

We’re thinking of setting up a twitter account as the robot that people can interact with.

Hey guys - in case anyone’s interested, we just shot a demo video for the iPhone game with (completely unrehearsed) testimonials on Vancouver’s beautiful Vanier Park before the real fireworks competition.

Lemme know what you think!
