Use face to make area light

How do I make an area light by selecting a face and having the area light fit that? I don’t want to create an area light and have it fit that. I am open to accepting a script. I am posting this in Modelling, as it seems more fit here than the Lighting and Rendering section.

The easiest way would be to set an Emissive material to the face. Emission and area lights do the same thing* in Cycles

I want to do it in eevee

you have to bake global illumination. Tho it won’t work if your scene is animated. Or wait eevee next like I do. :slight_smile:
