Use of "Instance" for simulation

I have a simple softbody sim where I have a stack of boxes falling.
The scene needs to have multiple stacks of boxes and I’d like to the same simulation.
Is there a way to do this in Blender?
It would almost be like a particle system to duplicate objects but I need to duplicate a simulation.

not sure I understood, but :

you can use an actuator ( edit object/addobject )
or use the python scene.addObject(obj)
In both cases the object you want to add must be in an inactive layer
