use UV map to color particles (fur)

Hello,

sorry for the mistakes, i’m a french guy.

I’m working on Blender 2.55 and i need to color fur of an animal using color of UV mapping.
There’s no problem with a texture without UV mapping, but i really need to use UV map.

Is there a way for me?

Thanks

Are the BBB production files any help? Ah, wait, this is the Game Engine. You mean to color fur in the BGE using UV? I would be skeptical, as that is a lot of compute power needed at real-time. The “Yo Frankie” production files would be your best research.

Someone could help me?

I can color particle with texture color, but not with uv mapping texture, i don’t know why…

So, you want to color the fur particles using a UV map, yes?

Hmm…

Seems to work for me, I don’t know what your problem would be. Here’s the .blend to look at, if you want.

Sidenote, why is this in Game Engine Support and Discussion?

Your file work with blender 2.49b but it’s not the good result, viewing your drawing, the result is different!

the result give some square, but not your drawing! I don’t know why this post is in game engine support, i’have some problem to read english! :frowning:

I’ll finally find with your file, after a new unwrap it work! My problem was that it did not work on Blender 2.55! Thank you so much!

This last version found on http://www.graphicall.org/builds/ works, it’s good news!
