using Apricot? UPDATE YOUR DRIVERS!!!

Before i updated my video card drivers, I got 2, maybe 3 lights in a scene before everything went black and I got an error, After updating to the latest drivers, 12 SPOTLIGHTS PLUS SHADOWS ALL POINTED AT ONE SPOT, NO ERRORS AT ALL (besides massive lag, figuring out 12 shadows for each object :evilgrin:)

so, if you have this issue, UPDATE TO THE LATEST DRIVERS RIGHT NOW!

can you post the .blend. I want to see how many I can get in, because i thought 3 was the limit so this is a big thing :slight_smile:

Well, since it’s a gfx card thing i don’t think a .blend would really help much, plus the blend is about 40MB and I’m on dial-up. that would take years to upload here… IF you have the black issue too, try making a blend which crashes after 3 lights, update you drivers, and see if its still there. Or just try it now, I can’t give an estimate on the crash limit of a blank .blend anymore, which is a good thing!!!:D:D:D

what GFX card do you have BTW?

I’m using an e-GeForce 7300GT 512MB AGP graphics card. Wow. That’s pretty nerdy that I remembered all of that off the top of my head…:smiley:

Well, I’m using an NVIDA GeForce 8600 GT 256MB pci-express card. Maybe I should give this a try, although I haven’t really played with the Apricot builds much. But I’m going to guess that this is going to be more of an NVIDA thing :wink:

I got the latest drivers for my GPU the moment I got my new PC setup, this must be why I never had any problems with Apricot GLSL.
