Using Blender on a macbook, Camera angle num keys?

Hi all, I recently got my macbook formatted and had to reinstall blender.

This may seem like a stupid problem, but now that i have it set up againfrom scratch my number keys are now assigned to layers instead of camera angles.

Used to be that i pressed 1 for front, 2 for side etc, but now the number keys change layers and i cannot figure out how to change the settings back.

Blender 2.49b = User Preferences / System - Emulate Numpad
Blender 2.5xbeta = File / User Preferences / Input - Emulate Numpad
