Hey
When i’m working on a sculptie in blender 2.57 in sculpt mode i cant find a way to rotate the sculptie . I use a brush and like to see my work from different angels. In tutorials i have seen an elegant way to do that. But i have no clue what to do- can anyone help me 
Blender 2.57- Primstar 2 and the mouse is MX revolution

Yes right. It was a matter of reading the most fundamental newwbie stuff on how to move and rotate a mesh 
You shouldn’t have needed to rotate the actual mesh, only the viewport. Holding down the middle mouse button and dragging does that work for you.
