Can you use render nodes to fake DOF in an image file? Is the Z-data there so that you can fake it? Or can you use alpha data to do it? I simply can not render at 3k resolution with CVS builds with blender nodes or without them. So I have to use an older build of blender, probably 2.41. Hopefully this will work. Please get back to me as soon as possible. This is for the Journey Begins contest which is over in 2 days.
have you see the zblur sequence plugin?
Or the deepblur sequence plugin?
Nope I haven’t seen either. Links?
Maybe, I’m not sure what you are asking, but you can’t add dof to an image that has been saved out as a file (tga, jpg, etc.) unless you paint it in with gimp or whatever.
but nodes are great for doing post pro blur on a render.
I painted it in. Nodes weren’t very useful when your using 2.41 It ended up being more stable to use that. Some people like the hand painted result, some do not. Can’t really please everyone yet.
