I am doing a simple animation. A puppet talking. A few are movements. A head tilt, etc. From the waist up behind a desk. I am experimenting with clothing.
Is it OK to just keep the Solidify modifier on for the clothing, or is it better to apply it to the mesh? I ask this, because I never parented a solidifier mesh to bones before.
You can use a PROXY mesh to handle this kind of deformation.
You rig / copy skin weight the PROXY, which is your clothes whitout solidier on it, then wrap the solidified clothes on the proxy on.
