Blender seems to crash a lot while I’m doing UV mapping. It does it a bit less since I switched to 2.45, but it crashes a little more in other areas. Is there a way to minimize the chance of this crashing while UV mapping.
Are you sure it has crashed. When I first switch UV mode there can be a very long lag depending on the size of the mesh. I started using UVMapper Classic to get around this by using it to apply a simple Box mapping to the model.
