UV edits disappear

I am wondering if anyone else can confirm a problem i’m seeing.
I have layed out the UVs in version 2.42 of Blender.
when I open this file in the RC1 version all my UV layout is gone and all UVs are reset (meaning all UVs are just a big square instead of unwrapped and laid out in the texturespace.)

is this a bug? the result of some changes they are making to the UV system in the next version of Blender? or is it my unique problem?

I should mention that i’m using the OSX version. maybe its not a problem in windows/linux? but it sure is scary here.

i can’t reproduce this error with a new object in a clean scene.
maybe this is only related to my character models. maybe there is something wrong with them. :confused:

This might be related to the new feature which allows multiple uv layouts from a single mesh.

This sounds similar to another bug report which was recently fixed in CVS:

huh. i reported this bug as well, though i cannot find it now that i search for it. maybe it is just not listed in the open bugs category. but it is fixed in the CVS, apparently. not being competent to build or patch anything, i have not verified this, but i trust the developers… : )

thanks :slight_smile: . i am so glad they’ve fixed it ! i’ll just have to wait till RC2 to try the new features of blender.
