is it possible to get UV coordinates for indidual hair strands …in blender render was a option for uv textures for strands but in evee or cycles is no option.
You can get the axial coordinate (along the strand) from Hair Info -> Intercept. But as far as I am aware (despite quite a bit of trying to find it myself) it isn’t possible to get a tangential coordinate.
You could make a deformed cylinder following the strands by using a particle instance modifier, but of course that would be insanely resource-heavy for large numbers of hairs.
