UV island moves when moving mesh

I was wondering if this is supposed to happen?

I’m moving part of the mesh and the UV island moves slightly as a result. This is happening on Blender 3.1

My goal is to make a “exploded” mesh for baking without messing up the UVs. Doesn’t seem to work this way.

Correct Face Attributes while enabled does this.
