With regards to the aspect ratio of scaled uv’s is there any way to maintain it across all the uv islands yet have more real estae for the head, or is it just a case of using the average island scale option and a higher res uv map.
use the ‘live unwrap’ function. you pin some verts and then move one or more pinned verts around, and the neighboring non-pinned ones optimize themselves as you move/scale.
Thanks for the reply Modron I will give it a go I did not realize it optimized the other islands when you move the pins around sounds cool.
you have to enable live unwrap btw, it’s somewhere in the UV window.
