UV Map as Shown in blender

I’ve got a textured model in blender that looks exactly like I want it to, but when I use Smart UV Project, loading the file into another program shows the UV completely different than how it looks in blender. Is there any way to unwrap UV’s exactly as already shown in blender?

If you have the model unwrapped and textured already why are you unwrapping again in another application ? Export in a format that manitains the object UVs such as .fbx or .obj
There are an infinite ways to unwrap an object so don’t expect to magically match exiting UV unwrap in two different applications without manually editing the UVs

I don’t mean that I’m unwrapping it in a different application. I mean that for some reason loading the UV’s that I unwrapped doesn’t look like it does in blender.

As Richard said, the process should work. But you haven’t given any specifics beyond “it doesn’t work” and so it is difficult to be any help. Some suggestions:

  • Tell us which secondary program you’re using
  • Upload your .blend file so we can verify you’re preparing the UVs correctly (upload here or on pasteall.org)
  • Screenshots. Lots of informative screenshots. Keeps us from guessing incorrectly.
