UV map has disappeared. How can I get it back?

Here is a picture of my model.

Now, for some reason its UV layout is completely gone. Its just not there anymore.

Now since this was a game model I was editing for a mod (Skyrim), its not a good idea to just generate a new one.

So my question is this; how do I copy a UV layout from one object to another?

Are you sure the UV is gone? Go to edit mode and check Object data panel and there is UV maps, can you see any UV maps there?

Uh no. There’s just a material for the object. Thats it. Whats really weird is that there appears to be at least 6 duplicates of my object. odd.

Yes I’m still not sure how to solve this one, does anyone know if I can take the model into a UV mapping program and copy the UV using that?

Use the Join as UVs option

I tried that, and apparently it keeps coming up with the message that says “XXXXX num of vertices counted. XXXX less then amount predicted.”

Basically its saying that the mesh I want to join UVs with has a smaller amount of vertices then the one that has the UV map I need.

Any way past that?
