UV Map mystery

I’m using UV Map (Smart) on a table Im making, Im not defining any parts with seams.
When I map this object to my texture there are portions of the faces that do not appear to show textures when I go to Texture display mode but if I click the faces and go to my UV Map screen I see those faces are on top of the same texture as the rest of the model.

It looks that those faces have no meterial assigned… try select those faces and assign the material again.

Ok, I tried that and no change, so what I did was assign a new texture, then go back and change to the old texture and fixed the missing textures on the faces.
