UV mapping a curve?

I had a little look around the web, but couldn’t find what I needed.

I have an extruded and bevelded curve that I’d like to texture - how do I unwrap it?

I’ve been able to unwrap meshes before, but this eludes me.

I’ll look again at it tomorrow and I bet it’ll be easy, one of those stupid mistakes

Though I don’t know everything and Blender surprises me every day - you can’t. You have to convert it to a mesh.

only meshes have faces. see wiki on unwrapping.
