I have been playing around with the UV face select and adding textures that way, but my question is how do I add a bumpmap or displacement map or specular highlights that way?
To apply either the bump or specular maps you need to do the following:
a) make your bump and spec maps in PS, GIMP, etc.
b) assign a material to your mesh and then assign the bove textures as you normally would do with an image texture.
c) Click the UV instead of ORCO button in the MAP TO options
d) use the NOR mapping option and NOR slider to adjust your bump map
e) use the SPEC mapping option and adjust your spec values for your spec map
