UV Mapping Blender Problem

Hello,

I’m looking to model Newt Scamander’s suitcase from Fantastic Beasts for a special effects project.

I found on internet (this link : transplanerhp.wixsite.com/harrypotter/post/diy-mini-valise-norbert-dragonneau-newt-scamander ) the pattern to make the suitcase, so I decided to use it for my UV mapping.

To do this I cut the pattern in two parts corresponding to the two parts of my suitcase. Here is my case after applying the texture :

As you can see, the front and back sides are in the wrong direction and therefore are stretched (they are turned by 90°).

How can I remedy this?

Thanks for your answers,
Tony

Looks like you would need to select just these faces and unwrap them individually. Then, manually place/scale them on the correct part of the texture.

Or maybe you have put your UV seams on different edges than what the image intended and could fix it by unwrapping the mesh differently.

It worked, thank you so much !
As you said, I manually replaced the textures correctly in some faces individually.
Here is the result :

Enjoy your evening !
