uv mapping from 2.49 to 2.63 ?

i have a beam uv map which is working fine in 2.49

but when i apply it in cycles i get a much darker color then in 2.49

so what can i do to get it like in 2.49 ?

Could you provide a screen shot?

i added a bright /con node to make the color lighter but even that does not seems to bring it back like in 2.49


as you can see color is super dark brown while in 2.49 it is like the original image
for white oak!

Well… Cycles will do that. Cycle tries to make everything more realistic. Did you try lightening up the image manually? Like taking the image and making it lighter and then applying it?

ok tested with much higher value of light but don’t know what this would do on other object not UV map !
and it looks like it is becoming like the original image!

but the blue sphere with no UV is too bright now!


also how do you calculate size of UV function of object size to get same texture then the original image ?
