UV mapping issue

Hi again
I need help with uv mapping
when i put my unwrapped mesh on the image in the uv image editor it (the image) is put on the inside of the mesh not on the outside where it will be visible when rendered. how do i get it on the outside?

in edit mode, recalculate normals outside
