uv mapping question.

i’m making this rocket, and so far everything has been going well, and on the front of it i want to put a face, like this: http://wow.allakhazam.com/images/icons/INV_Ammo_Bullet_03.png

without disturbing the rest of the texture, which i made without uv mapping. is there a way to unwrap part of an object and texture it, while leaving the rest of the map totally clear, so the base texture still shows through everywhere else?\

EDIT- also, really nooby question, how do you move textures up on the list, so they don’t get interfered with by stencils?

Not sure if this what your looking for, but I’m sure you’ll learn something from it about UV texturing

(note that the developers of this don’t speak english I assume, so they used some speech program so bear with it)
