UV mapping + render = problem

Hello.

I decided to register on this forum, so this is my very first post. I have a pretty “basic” problem. I am trying to get know the UV mapping thing and the things that come with it. I’ve added a plane, unwrapped it, got into UV/Image editor. Opened the image, and did everything. I could see it in Textured mode. Well afterall I’ve went to render screenshot (F12), and I could only see a goddamned gray plane. What the heck? What did I miss?

Please help, I’ve already watched minimum 3 tutorial videos about UV Mapping and texturing and I couldn’t figure out why the texture doesn’t show up in Render mode.

You will need to add a material to your plane, add the texture to your material mapped to the objects UVs. Just adding the texture in the image editor will not render it.

Hello!

Thank you!

Well… after I posted this thread, I started to look around in materials and textures. Well, I found how can I do it actually. Thanks again, and sorry for this thread, but anyways, maybe someone else will have this problem.
