UV mapping

can anyone explain why a uv map that i already have and that shows up when i press alt-z won’t show up when i render it?
thanx

Press TexFace in the materials pannel.

Although, if you are trying to use the yafray renderer you must have the uv image applied as a material texture, and NOT have the texface option set.

(I think… I’ve been having trouble with this myself…)

thanks for your replies. i am not using the yafray renderer at the moment, and i already tried clicking the TexFace button.
any more suggestion??

Send me the blend. sailsnail@ziplip.com or put it up somewhere as a zip. There are too many possibilities to go thru all of them.

ok, thanx a lot. i think that just changing the texface button may have worked, but now i have another problem. Now, the UV map will only show up when the camera is positioned directly above the object. Any ideas??

Do you have UV selected in the Texture mapping buttons? This is set to Orco by default.

Sonix.

im not sure, how do i do that??

i have the new version 2.32 blender. i think i accidently deleted the menu tab where u choose uv instead of orco. anyone know how i can get it back??
thnx agin

you can’t delete anything in buttons window!
may be you “drag and dropped” the tab to a seperate buttons panel
( did you know that works ? )
that hides behind another or is off screen.
Use RMB on button view to rearrange the view.

I didn’t!!! I should read release notes more carefully!!! That’s great…
