uv mapping

have a cylinder that is part of a jet plane and i need to uv map it in cammo and pale blue/white. Everytime i map it it either gets mapped to either cammo or the pale blue. I want half to be pale blue and the top half cammo.

Did you assign a material to the top and different to the bottom in links to materials and add new in UV texture under mesh. I have yet to find a way to separate completely UV maps for one object, but this was what I was told to do, maybe you can make it work. I ended up using a image on part and assigning a color to the second part.
