UV maps help

Hello!
So I tried to do some bridge with long guardrail, but my texture is stretched. I know it’s something I need to do with uv maps, but my tries weren’t good enough. Can someone tell me what should i do to have a proper texture?

Hi,

For a long guardrail:

  • Mark the seams of the object
  • Unfold this item > UnWrap
  • Apply a texture

Make sure rotations and Scales are applied (Apply Rotation and Scale)

When I trying to unwrap my model I get the message “Object has non-uniform scale, unwrap will operate on a non-scaled version of the mesh”

Apply scale on the object. Ctrl+a iirc.
