UV Maps

Hi All

I am sure there is a button to solve this, I just cannot find it.

Is there any way to unwrap and end up with a subsurfed unwrap without actually applying the subsurf modifier?


UV/image editor properties has a toggle to show modified UV’s.

I don’t think that’s possible.

@JA12, thanks for suggestion, but I am looking to have as attached, maybe shajuke is correct?


UVs don’t exist without vertices. You can’t have a UV vertex in the middle of a polygon. Vertices can have multiple UV vertices associated with them (one per face corner), but you cannot have UV vertices not associated with mesh vertices.
