I am designing some basic tiles for corridors, and am moving on to skinning, but my UV map isn’t working correctly. In the UV screen, it appears properly, but when I switch to texture paint, part of it moves and some disappears. Here are the examples. UV Screen Texture Painter
Not quite sure what you mean. When I do this I follow the steps:
- Create a new texture image and save it (you have to save the image and not the blend file)
- Unwrap the mesh
- Paint
Furthermore it looks like you have some problem with the unwraped model in texture paint mode.
That’s what I’m trying to get at. The UV is applying properly, except for the small bit that disappears, which is the blank spot in the texture painter. I can’t seem to get any other UV map to work with this model either, even after resetting.

Unfortunately I managed to fix the problem by completely deleting the UV and remapping it, and I don’t have a backup of the broken file.
However I am still interested in hearing any ideas about what happened. The texture paint screen shows that part of the UV map was disappearing.
