I remember once using a script that basically placed the uv coords so that image space was optimized. For example, I have a bunch of “islands” of uv’s for a mesh I have, but they’re all over the place… is there a script somewhere that will place them so that they fit snugly into a specified pixel dimension? Thus conserving uneeded blank texture space?
Hmmm, maybe layout clipped to image size? Did you look in the wiki in the uv sections? There is a lot of info there.
I really dont know the answer, just guessing.
