UV Texture Map's containing invisible gaps?

When i create a UV map of a model from Blender and then texture it, then apply it back on the mesh there are a quite a few gaps separating parts of the texture on the model.

How can this be fixed? Am i overlooking something?

How about a screenshot and blend file (including texture) so we know what you are actually talking about.

Have you mapped the texture to the UV coordinates in the texture settings ?
