Uv texturing...


I am having a little bit of trouble trying to get the UV cordinates of my model. I want to generate a flat map that I can then paint on. But I have found that is impossible to map the main pieces as whole objects and will need to map them seperatly. Since I have not done this before I want to knopw how can I take the map I generate and piece it back together to use in a drawing program? :-?
