UV Unwrap Question for Displacement Modifier

If this doesn’t belong in this section let me know guys.

I’m trying to see if there is a way one can render an image and then have the ability to unwrap parts of your model over the “Render Result” image? What I’m doing now is saving the image, then importing it every time I need to make a change. But that can be tedious when testing displacement images. I’m just trying to speed up my workflow a little.
