UV Unwrap (stretch angle or stretch area)

I’m unwrapping a face and body of a semi-realistic person.
When adjusting the mesh you can view both angular stretch and area stretch.
Which is more important to minimize?
Angular seems pretty easy, area is not.

with the new UV painting tools and code, we don’t really need to worry so much about obvious seams, so you could break it down into seperate pieces, and you would get a much better economy of pixels, and hardly any stretching.
