UV Unwrap

hey guys,

I am kind of new to blender and I previously created a simple wall static mesh that I wanted to unwrap to UVs, BUT since the origin shape was a cube, which I simply scaled to make it look like a wall, blender unwraps it like it is still a cube and not like a wall… :confused:

What can I do to make Blender unwrap it correctly?

Apply the object scale before unwrapping (Ctrl+A) or scale in edit mode instead of object mode

what would a wall UV look like other than a cube UV?

dyf it would look like rectangles rather than squares, if you don’t want the textures stretched.
