UV Unwrapping.

Ok, been working on a model and am finally to the point of UV unwrapping this baby. But it’s a higher poly model and unwrapping is seriously a pain! Is it something we must go through or are there some good techniques I can implement in my unwrapping? I know mark seams and all that. But does anyone know if Andrew Price (Blender Guru) or the CG Cookie crew have done any tutorials on advanced unwrapping?
If not could someone point me in the direction of a good tutorial?
