I’m finally at the dreaded stage of UV mapping and I’ve hit a bit of a snag. Looked for a solution, couldn’t really find one so I’m asking here instead.
I’ve marked my seams and unwrapped it and mirrored the vertex groups that need be mirrored. However, I ran into vertices that follow the same seam. You seem to be completely unable to select just one instance of the vertex.
Here is my the current state of the UV map I’m working on:
(It’s not finished, which is why the groups aren’t all inside the area yet.)
Here is a picture of the problem I’m having:
The edges at A and B are both along the same seam but the respective groups are for the inner and outer parts of the mesh, with mirrored halves. If I try to fix the vertices of B the vertices of A gets undone and vice versa. I’ve tried to pin A but that didn’t work. I don’t know if I did it wrong or something. Maybe? I haven’t had too much experience with UV mapping (and even then it was in 3DS Max, a long time ago) so I’m certain there’s something I’m missing here.
