Is it possible to reflect uv mapped textures in Blender on render with Yafray?
If yes, how to do it? It seems possible, but I don’t know how.
I uses “GUI for YafRay ver. beta 0.33” and “Yable-0.30-3”.
Thanks in advance.
Yes it is definatly possible Chech this thread over at the Yafray forums for an excellent tutorial by broken.

That should help you. I should warn you that if you are using a GUI, your UV textures may not show up in your final render. I used Bagisas and it I had this problem. I know Landis also had this problem but I dont know which GUI he was using.

Thanks for your quick answer! I’ll give it a try.
I am using the YAFRAY GUI…that is what it is called…basically it is the one other than Bagsis. My problem was that after exporting through YABLE the data was there in the XML, you just had to call up the textures again inside of the GUI in order for YAFRAY to find them…otherwise it will just render them with the default material…grey that is. The weird thing is that this is a GUI issue not YAFRAY…because when you just use the command line for YAFRAY everything works fine…no additional texture stuff required…I just feel a little more comfortable with the GUI is all, otherwise I would use the command line.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Landis

Once Schlops releases the new version of Bagisas, I recommend you download it. Some new features added (UV texture problem FIXED! :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):))
My UV+Yafray problem was solved at last…
I tested rendering from the command line, now I acquired UV.
I found that Yable doesn’t apply more than one uv texture to an object(I’m not sure about this).
and I will download new Bagisas.
Thank you very much for your helps!
Great soni bardot!
